From October 31st to November 2nd, Duespohl is going to return to Glassbuild 2023, held in the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta. For the first time, Duespohl will exhibit an entire profile wrapping line.

Duespohl at Glassbuild: all the innovations for PVC windows and doors
Duespohl has decided to return to Glassbuild in order to show the North American window and door manufacturers new solutions to improve their PVC foiling process.
Due to the trend towards individualisation and the demand for window frames with different colours or patterns, wrapping PVC profiles has become an important step in the production of PVC profiles.
MultiWrap Window: PVC profile wrapping at its best
At Glassbuild 2023, Duespohl is going to exhibit an entire profile wrapper full of smart solutions to improve productivity and ensure high, constant quality.
MultiWrap Window comes with high standard basic equipment and many options to ensure process safety and increase output. Every line Duespohl produces is customised to optimally meet the project’s requirements.
Visitors of Glassbuild America are going to see a configuration for the wrapping of PVC profiles for windows, applying PVC foil. Quick change cassettes help to reduce set-up times between two profile geometries while the double unwinding station reduces downtimes due to reel change.
Additionally, visitors can find out more about automated solutions such as the driven positioning of transport wheels, pressure holder rollers, guidings and many more solutions for automatic reel change, infeed or profile separation.
Premelting: UniMelt e SlotCoater
One of the advantages of Duespohl machinery is that we manufacture the entire line including the premelter and glue application system. That is why MultiWrap Window will be accompanied by UniMelt and SlotCoater at Glassbuild 2023.
UniMelt is a very energy efficient and easy to use premelter for EVA and PUR adhesives. Blocks or granules can be refilled during the production process. Since it does not have sealings nor valves, it requires low maintenance efforts.
SlotCoater is a patented slot nozzle with a special geometry that ensures absolutely homogeneous glue application. Users benefit from high availability and high quality glue application.
Both components are also great for boosting the efficiency of existing profile wrapping lines.
AutoCut: the most automated slitting machine
AutoCut is the most automated slitting machine Glassbuild America has ever seen. It positions the knives automatically, reduces set-up times and increases working safety dramatically. Since knives will be positioned 100% precisely, it sets the ground for flawless profile wrapping results.
Of course, AutoCut also adjusts the tension of the entire unwinding and rewinding process automatically. AutoCut will be exhibited for the first time at Glassbuild 2023.
ReelScan: brand new at Glassbuild
At Glassbuild 2023, Duespohl will present the brand new system ReelScan. It includes a printer connected to the slitting machine AutoCut which prints stickers with barcodes. These store information on length, colour and width of the cut reels. Users use this sticker to fix the end of the cut reel.
Then, the profile wrapping line will be equipped with a scanner so users can doublecheck by scanning the barcode whether the reel in their hands matches the next profile wrapping job.
